Random Ramblings of Life

So I FINALLY started writing on my third NaNo again.  I say finally because it’s been several months since I last did anything on it.  lol.  One thing that I did notice was that when I had stopped, I had stopped in mid-sentence!  That’s usually something that I NEVER do!  Oh well.  I just hope that I’ll manage to remember everything that I had wanted to do before it ends, but I’m sure that it’ll still turn out great.  😀  Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it soon so that I can get my free proof copy for being a 2009 NaNo winner…  I have until this summer (I think) to put in for my copy, so I have a little bit of time at least.

The point I’m at currently is finishing a sparring match between my main character and her father.  After that… I might actually have her final confrontation with someone that I’ve been putting off for too long.  It should be interesting to see how that plays out since I know how it’ll end, but now what’ll happen during it.  I also need to finish up with my mc’s mother telling her what had happened in her own past that applies to my mc.  Hmm… maybe I’ll do that bit before the confrontation.  I have endless possibilities for what I can do, so all I have to do is choose a direction.  lol.  Thankfully, I already know how it’ll end and I’m also fairly certain that certain people won’t like how it ends…  (they know who they are 😉 )

Well I made it back to school just fine…albeit exhausted.  No idea why, but I just can’t sleep on planes that well.  I think I got around a half hour to an hour total of sleep (and this was about a 5 hour plane trip from Seattle to Newark).  I did manage to get a 2 hour nap in today, but I’m still tired…  I’ll probably just end up going to bed early tonight and sleep in tomorrow.

My Christmas break is slowly starting to wind down…  I have 8 days left at home before I head back to school until May. 😦  Oh well.  I know that it’s for a good cause and I’m looking forward to this semester.  The classes I’m taking should prove to be a lot of fun.  And hopefully I’ll be able to get a job this semester as well…

On a side note, I finally got some pictures uploaded to my computer.  And I’m now done with 3 blankets!  Halfway there.  I just have to finish 3 more in the next week.  lol.  I also finished my cross-stitch bookmark today!  There are a couple of mistakes in it, but overall I’m happy with how it turned out. 😀

And as I said earlier, I finished the bookmark I had been working on!  Here’s a picture of it as well:

So I finished making 2 no-sew fleece blankets today.  2 out of 6.  So yeah.  I still have awhile to go before I’m done.  And if I’m technical about things, it’s only 5 since one of the blankets doesn’t have a backing yet, so that’s another thing that I’ll need to get soon…  Oh well.  Overall I don’t mind since they’re rather to fun to make (even my cat likes helping…although her form of helping is to lay on the blanket and stare at me), and they don’t take me that long to do anymore, especially since I now have a rotary cutter, mat, and ruler to help!  Goodbye masking tape and scissors!  Goodbye uneven fleece strips! 😀

Anyway, the 2 blankets I finished making today are for a set of twins that are going to be born soon.  The print on them is absolutely adorable as well.  I’ll upload pictures as soon as I have them onto my computer as well, but the print on the 2 I made is from the “Hey Diddle Diddle” nursery rhyme with a yellow backing.  I can’t wait to see how the mother of the twins will like them!  So I somehow have to finish making 3-4 blankets before I return to school, but I know that I’ll be able to do it. 🙂
