The Skin Map by Stephen Lawhead is a fun read that takes into account the concept of time travel.  In this book, only certain points in the world are connected by “ley lines” that allow a person to instantly travel to another city, country, or even different time!  Kit, one of the main characters, “accidentally” meets his great-grandfather through one of these ley lines.

Later on, Kit tries to pull his girlfriend through in order to prove that he’s not crazy, but something happens and they get separated and end up in two completely different countries and times.  What follows is an epic adventure that is fun for everyone!  From experiencing the past to being chased by thugs who are after the infamous Skin Map, it is up to Kit and his friends to try to help prevent the map of the ley lines from falling into the wrong hands.

The Skin Map is the first book in a new series by Stephen Lawhead and I can’t wait to read the rest and find out what happens next!
